Ironman World Championship
Mike is now back in training for triathlons and Ironman races. His goal is to qualify for an Ironman World Championship in the coming years – the jewel in the crown of full distance triathlons, held in Hawaii each year.
Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge
Not satisfied with having crossed the English Channel, Mike’s next big sea-based adventure will be to row across the Atlantic. Mike will set off with two close friends from La Gomera in the Canary Islands, headed to Antigua in the Caribbean. Watch thi sspace for further updates.
Known as the “World’s Toughest Row”, the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge spans 3,000 miles and typically lasts over 40 days. Hurricanes, days at anchor in poor conditions, and some of the most spectacular sunsets in the world await the team as they make their crossing.
Mike is already planning his training regime, and he and his friends are actively seeking sponsorship. If you or someone you know would be interested in discussing sponsorship with Mike, please do get in touch.
Alpe d’Huez
Like all passionate cyclists, Mike grew up loving the Tour de France. The 13.8km climb at Alpe d’Huez, with its 21 hairpin turns, is among the most iconic and demanding rides in the world. It was the first ever summit finish in the Tour de France, and Mike will conquer it on his handcycle.
Re-conquering the English Channel
On that day in 2017 the Channel won, but next time Mike will set the record straight. He’s making his plans already and will be headed for Calais again soon – watch this space!
